_Is it true that we want more people in Libya to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ? Ofcourse we do! But how will they hear unless people tell them? And who is going to tell them? Today we are asking God to send more workers into Libya. Even in the uncertain times and instability Libya finds itself in, we want people to have the opportunity to know the love of God._
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:35-38
Jesus was going around all the cities and villages; He taught, He preached, and He healed. But there were even more people: “multitudes.” At this Jesus was moved by compassion and told his disciples to PRAY. As Jesus’ compassion grows in our hearts it will cause us to see the multitudes and then PRAY. Lord, we pray for more workers to go out to the multitudes in Libya. Lord, we pray for more Arab Christians to take the Gospel across Libya. Lord, we pray for other foreign workers to take the Good News to them. Lord, we pray for the Church in Libya to take the Love of Jesus to all ends of Libya and the earth.
