A worker writes:
“The man in the photocopy shop we frequently go to glanced at the lyrics of the worship song I was photocopying and asked about how we worship God. On another occasion I was copying some pages about prayer and he talked about how Christians and Muslims pray differently. He wanted to know if we pray to the same God? Interesting discussions often happen at this photocopy shop! Last week I was chatting with him and he asked me for a Bible so I returned a few days later with one for him. I am praying that the next time I go in, we’ll be able to talk about what he has been reading.”
Another worker shared how she had started swimming at a pool recently and got talking to one of the women who works at the swimming centre. She is often rostered on to work there for long hours with few people to talk to. She was debating about various things in the Qur’an and the worker made some good points from the Qur’an which got the woman thinking about how she didn’t know the Bible as well as the worker knew the Qur’an. She asked for a copy to read since she has long hours with not a lot to do.
On the way to the swimming centre the following week with a Bible to give to the lady who works there, the worker got into an interesting conversation with the taxi driver who was genuinely listening and asking questions. So the Bible was given to him instead and the worker had to return the week after with a Bible for the lady at the swimming centre!!
- Praise God that Moroccans are hungering to know the truth and eager to read God’s Word.
- Pray that the man in the photocopy shop will read the Bible and quickly find it speaking directly into his life and circumstances. Praise God that His Word is living!
- Pray for the lady at the swimming centre to diligently read the Bible she now has. Ask God to bring revelation of who He is through His Word.
- Pray for the taxi driver who now has a Bible to read. Ask God to draw this man closer to Jesus.
- Ask for more conversations between the workers and these interested Moroccans.
