Jesus calls us to make disciples:
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
As we make disciples and they obey all the teachings of Jesus, He will plant His church among them all cross Mauritania. And I (Jesus speaking) tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. Matthew 16:18
How can we pray?
-
These could be very small churches built around extended families and close friends, but pray for these small groups to emerge in Mauritania.
-
In these small groups, pray that the individuals can mature and grow deeper in the Lord Jesus. Ask that the Holy Spirit be their teacher.
-
Pray for disciples who obey the teachings of Jesus all across Mauritania. Pray for them to come together into groups that desire to help each other grow. Call forth a Disciple Making Movement in Mauritania.
-
We know that persecution will be part of this, pray for strength to endure persecution and that persecution would take them even deeper in Jesus. Pray for bodies of believers that will pray and seek the Lord in the good times and the hard times.
-
Ask God for key Mauritanians to come to faith, who are people who are willing to connect others to Jesus, and people who are influencers in their community. Pray that small churches will grow around these key believers.
